Dylan Covers - Vol. Three

I've been quite busy this week, so here's just a short video post.
Definitely one of the most famous cover versions of all time is Jimi Hendrix' version of All Along The Watchtower, which made an all-time great out of an only average Dylan original. You can hear the influence of Hendrix' cover in nearly every other version of that song including Dylan's own live performances.

  • I really enjoy that Dave Matthews version. There are far better versions he's done but this one is sufficient

  • Well, I'd be very interested to hear some of these other versions. Maybe I'll do a little research on that. Thanks for your comment!
There are also definitely better versions than this one by Dylan. Since he plays it on nearly every show there are tons of cool versions and one's favourite only depends on which Dylan sound/band you prefer.
Maybe there'll be a follow-up post on this one some time (including also some other artists).
As I wrote, this was just a quick one and I took what was available at YouTube ("time is running away...").
